Those born between January and early February, beware!
If you were born between January 1 and the last day of winter, “Setsubun” in the traditional Japanese calendar (usually February 2 or 3 or 4), you will have the previous year's Nine Star sign.
The calendar we currently use (Gregorian calendar) is called a solar calendar. The Nine Star sign calendar (Takashima Almanac) is based on the "24 Solar Terms," which divides the earth's yearly orbit around the sun into 24 equal parts. Since the year in the traditional Japanese calendar is from the first day of spring, which we call “Risshun” (usually February 3 or 4 or 5), until the last day of winter, which we call “Setsubun”(usually February 2 or 3 or 4 of the following year, the day before the first day “Risshun” of spring), those born between January 1 and the last day of winter will have the previous year's Nine Star sign. For example, if you were born on February 1 in 1971, your Nine Star sign will be SAMPEKI MOKUSEI of the previous year, 1970. You may be familiar with some of the well-known 24 solar terms: First day of spring (we call it “Risshun”), vernal equinox (“Shunbun” or ”Shumbun”), summer solstice (“Geshi”), major heat (height of summer, “Taisho”), autumn equinox (“Shubun”), winter solstice (“ToJI”), and major cold (height of winter, “Daikan”) in the traditional Japanese calendar.

The Takashima Almanac (Nine Star Ki) is a type of Feng Shui that is classified as Rikkou. Interior Feng Shui, as it is commonly referred to, is classified as Zazan and is based on the concept of attracting luck to the place where you live. On the other hand, the Takashima Almanac is based on the concept of moving oneself (harvesting good luck) in order to seize the luck and open the door to fortune.
In other words, the Takashima Almanac indicates the direction in which one should go in order to get luck in love relationships. Specifically, it indicates the direction to go in advance to bring luck to a date or a gathering that will lead to new acquaintances, as well as the direction that will be advantageous to you on the day that you have a date.

Relationships Among the Nine Star Signs (Five Elements Theory)
Interrelation
There is a correlation between adjacent elements, and they cooperate and are compatible with each other.
Overview
Tree gives birth to Fire, and Fire gives birth to Soil when Tree burns to ashes. Metal is born from Soil, Metal returns to Water when it corrodes, and Tree grows by the power of Water.
Conflict
A relationship where each side takes energy from the other. In other words, when you are together, you get tired, lose tension, or are drawn to negativity. As a result, irritability and other difficulties arise.
Overview
Tree grows by absorbing nutrients from the Soil through the Tree roots, and the Soil absorbs Water and the earth topography determines the direction the Water goes. Water extinguishes Fire, and Fire melts Metal. An axe made of Metal chops Tree.
Cooperation
People of the same elements help each other.
